Time to blog again

I wrote my first blog in 2002 and it was hosted at Livejournal (remember, when that was cool?). Then I was a wide-eyed undergraduate studying Mathematics and Computer Science and doing occasional stint as a radio broadcaster/host at a community radio station. The blog was a venue for me to get some writing done and talk about politics, music, food, and books and various other random things. I also dabbled with restaurant reviews. This was the pre-facebook, twitter era where usenet was a big part of my student days.

And of course all good things come to an end (my last entry was in Aug 2009). Blogs went out of fashion and I stopped writing. I tried to find a new avenue in facebook. But I did miss the long form so have been thinking about creating a new blog for a while. And apparently blog is hip again so I am in good company. Even though for majority the world can be summairsed in 140 characters there seems to be still an appetite for the long detailed explanations. So here I am back blogging again.
